Most of today’s design practices hail from industrial value chain origins: brands provide and customers consume. Design is considered an activity for experts who work as problem solvers for their users (the problem holders), who are not supposed to actively contribute in real-time to the value creation process with their work or their knowledge.
This talk proposes -or provokes- a rethink towards designing in terms of shaping potential and opportunities; towards designing the game and not the board.
